“Do you know what I would change about this moment? Nothing.”

Guitar Hero 5 Fridays
Live from Abbey Road

So, killers overload yesterday. (Well, as close to killers overload as you can get when they aren’t touring over here any more.)

Firstly, there are some videos up on Yahoo from the killers show in San Diego recently, as part of ‘Guitar Hero 5 Fridays.’ There’s Mr Brightside, All These Things… and When You Were Young, plus a short interview with Brandon where he wears his own band t-shirt! (Cute) It looked like a great gig, and I wish I could have been there.

Secondly, the killers on Live from Abbey Road was broadcast last night on Channel 4. Pictures of that blue jacket, which has divided opinion in fan circles, have been floating around for some weeks, but last night I finally got to see it in context.

The killers performed A Dustland Fairytale, Read My Mind and Human, all with orchestral backing. The songs were really beautiful and gave me goose bumps. They were interviewed (see link below) and discussed being asked to do festivals. Ronnie talked about getting more confident when playing to 70,000 people. Also the covers album was mentioned again, with Brandon saying that it probably won’t be the next killers material you hear, but it will happen eventually. At the start of Read My Mind, Brandon said “Do you know what I would change about this moment? Nothing,” then smiled in his typical nervous sweet way. Only Brandon can get away with that…
